Irish Dancing

At the English Language Institute Ireland we like to have fun whilst learning.
We encourage great team building amongst our students which in turn helps them to learn the English language easier, faster and it is much more enjoyable.
Part of our team building is Irish Dancing, singing traditional songs, (in English) and learning how to play traditional Irish instruments like the Bodhrain.
Most of our students know the world famous Irish dancing stage show ‘Riverdance’.
The show has toured the world so many times and so nearly every new group of students who visit us ask about the now famous dance routines.
We take the approach of ‘lets not just talk about it, lets all have a go!’
Many of our teachers are keen Irish dancers and singers so in just a few minutes we show you the very basics and whilst you are leaning the dance moves, your English is steadily improving in a fun and enjoyable way.
If you are keen to learn, we introduce traditional song and dance to our students. It is really just for fun and helps students to work together before their afternoon activities. We also love to sing and teach our students traditional songs.
We do this perhaps twice or three times a week with our Juniors. Junior Summer Students usually have a ceili night (group dance), so we go through some steps and group movements so as they will know what to expect on the night of the ceili, which takes place at no extra cost to the student.
We also arrange Bodhrain, ( a traditional Irish drum ), lessons for our students which is a great way for students to explore their musical talents.
To see how popular these lessons are, read our Testimonials page’s, as many past students say this was one of the best things that they will always remember.
We cannot promise to make you the next star of Riverdance, or to teach you to play in a traditional Irish Band but we will certainly show you the basics and you will have so much fun learning some dance steps, immersing in our Culture and expanding your English all at the same time.
